The work of the PTN is made possible by the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act (BPCA) (Please reference the PTN website for the most up to date information on our work). This legislation was enacted in recognition of a lack of incentive for manufacturers to study drugs in pediatric populations. The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) administers the research program under BPCA and supports the PTN in conducting these important studies.
